What is the modular home construction process?

Licensed builders manage the entire process, including cost estimates, home design collaboration with the customer, permits, site preparation, ordering the home from Affinity, finishing, and final inspections.

Local approved licensed contractors are necessary to complete construction on your property and provide accurate new home construction costs for your area. The total cost of a new home is more than just the house – it also includes things like:

Site Preparation & Land Costs Vary Widely – Affinity only manufactures the home modules in a factory. Foundation work, grading, driveways, septic systems, wells, and utility hookups vary significantly depending on location and must be managed by a licensed builder or contractor.
Local Building Codes & Permits Differ – Each city or county has its own permitting fees, inspection requirements, and code compliance costs. Only a licensed builder working in that area can accurately estimate these.
Onsite Construction – This can include garages, decks, walkways, screen rooms, pools, and more. Your builder can incorporate these into the overall project cost.
Legal & Contractual Limitations – Only licensed home builders can provide complete turnkey pricing and legally sign construction contracts.

Traditional home construction
