Position Overview:

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing new clients, including builders, developers, and investors, to promote Affinity Modular’s products and services. This role involves managing the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals while ensuring an excellent client experience. The ideal candidate is self-driven, proactive, and experienced in business development and relationship management within the construction or modular home industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Client Acquisition:
    • Identify and introduce Affinity Modular to potential builder, developer, and investor clients.
    • Proactively develop new leads and maintain a continuous pipeline of opportunities.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive long-term business growth.
    • Conduct personal outreach and travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Sales & Marketing Execution:
    • Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.
    • Respond promptly to all retail and builder leads and manage assigned leads effectively.
    • Attend and host Affinity’s monthly open house events on a rotating basis.
    • Set and achieve sales goals, with an expectation of closing at least one home/building sale per month.
  • Product & Process Expertise:
    • Gain in-depth knowledge of Affinity’s modular home/building products, specifications, and policies.
    • Learn the quoting process and be proficient in providing accurate project pricing.
    • Understand available options, design elements, and feasibility within Affinity’s product line.
    • Ensure clients receive accurate drawings and specifications from the design team.
    • Familiarize with modular manufacturing requirements and Affinity’s internal processes.
  • Project & Client Management:
    • Oversee the entire sales process, from initial design consultation and quoting to production and delivery.
    • Ensure all necessary information is provided in a timely manner to keep projects on track.
    • Work closely with assigned sales assistants (if applicable) to manage administrative tasks.
    • Keep track of all projects, ensuring smooth progress through each phase.
    • Train builders on Affinity’s processes, ensuring they fully understand purchase agreements, payment terms, and delivery expectations.
    • Occasionally attend home “set” projects when the Affinity Field Rep is unavailable.
  • Builder Training & Support:
    • Provide comprehensive training to builders/clients to help them succeed as Affinity Builders.
    • Encourage new builders in the region to attend Affinity’s quarterly builder training classes.
    • Offer one-on-one guidance to builders to ensure they fully understand and follow Affinity’s processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the construction, modular homes, or building materials industry.
  • Strong ability to generate leads, close deals, and manage client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
